This Blackberry puff pastry is a very quick cake, which you can prepare in 20-25 minutes while having lunch or dinner, or if you have unexpected guests. It is a pastry-based dessert filled with blackberries, jam and toasted hazelnuts. The recipe comes from Italian cuisine and is both quick to make and really good (so much so that it is worth always having the ingredients on hand). So try it! Success guaranteed.
Ingredients
- 200g of fresh blackberries
- 40 g of toasted hazelnuts
- 1 roll of fresh rectangular puff pastry
- blackberry jam
- Brown sugar
Cut the blackberries in half and coarsely chop the hazelnuts. Unroll the puff pastry, spread half a jar of blackberry jam on half the surface. Distribute the blackberries and hazelnuts over the top and close up.
Brush with a little warm water and sprinkle with brown sugar and the remaining hazelnuts.
Bake at 200°C and cook for 15-20′. Cut the wallet into slices and serve them warm. Perfect to pair with a little fiordilatte or cream ice cream.
Next time I want to try making it with another type of fruit such as peaches or plums, obtaining a result similar to strudel, but super quick!
